Young man climbs over 60 floors of Aria Resort and Casino to protest COVID-19 mandates
Just as Nevada got a taste of freedom after the lockdown, mask mandates went back into effect Friday, this late June. Not many are happy with the reinstated regulations, but very few attempt to push back against the retrogression. However, a 22-year-old man named Maison Des Champs took it upon himself to make a statement, quite a shocking one too. After losing his grandfather to suicide during the lockdown, he began to protest against the government’s infringement on freedom. This Tuesday, Des Champs climbed 60-some floors of the Aria Resort and Casino’s exterior to send a message.

Sports betting in Washington is on the way for approval
Due to tribal sovereignty, Natives have permission to open casinos in areas where gambling is not permitted. However, in Washington state, sports betting has been under question for quite some time. Trump National Doral Miami Resort facing a tough challenge
The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, had some plans cooking up to incorporate a casino into the Doral Miami Resort in Florida built in 2012. If you haven’t seen the resort itself, the main building somewhat reminiscent of the white house in D.C. The exterior is simply as stunning as the internals of the luxury hotel itself. Being that the Trump National Doral is such a popular destination already, it would only make sense to fuse a casino into it. The 800-acre paradise is missing but this one aspect: gambling entertainment - it’s Miami, after all. And for a while there, the Florida Gaming Compact was on its way to allow for this idea to come to life, and the path for Trump’s new casino was nearly cleared until the recent events in early June of 2021.

Crucial Compliance takes BetProtect under its wing | Founders will be involved in future development
It’s not unusual to see successful companies buy out small businesses with potential. Owners who get tired of running their business often sell their company and seek either a full or partial exit. The big dogs typically do so for their own game and only keep the original founders on board if the brand is sold for a lower acquisition price. However, companies like Crucial Compliance operate on a more heart-to-heart level. At the beginning of April, the industry-leading compliance specialist company acquired a father and son based brand called BetProtect in order to combat gambling addictions, while also maintaining ties with the duo founders.
