Former Baccarat dealer at Sydneys Star casino sentenced to two years in jail

It’s not just guests that attempt to cheat casinos out of money during various table games - sneaky employees also get caught up in questionable activities at times. Some manage to get away with it, while others test their limits to the point where they begin to feel invincible. Hieu Duc Lam, a former Baccarat dealer at the Sydney’s Star casino in Australia, happens to be one of them as he “reaches for the stars” and gets caught cheating his workplace out of almost $500,000.

Illegal gambling streams on Twitch will now be closely monitored

A USA-based live streaming platform called Twitch (owned by Amazon) was originally designed for users to channel and provide commentary on video games. But of course, not one online platform in the world goes without a few individuals using it for completely unrelated purposes. Even strange ones like ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response), fortune telling, ladies in bikinis releasing intestinal gases, and more. But now Twitch has a new "genre" to deal with - channels streaming illegal gambling.

Man scams casinos including MGM Detroit by turning up in elaborate disguises

Stealing money from a casino is quite a challenge, and showing up with a gun to do so will quickly land you in jail. However, there are some creative people who need no weapon to do such a thing. Dottys Gaming and Spirits suffers a data breach

Dotty’s is a chain owned by Craig Estey in Nevada that has 175 locations in the state of Nevada, Oregon, and Minnesota. The uneventful-looking gambling facilities look like a shrunken counterfeit version of regular land-based casinos. Just one of those places one would go to if everything else was closed. Cheap American food like fries, corn dogs, pizza, and other snacks are offered to visitors. But to everyone’s surprise, a cyberattack at Dotty’s leaves 300,000 guests worried about their personal information.

Amazon Vaccine Lottery | This time its only a partial scam

If anyone aside from medical staff heroes deserves to be rewarded for consistency and hard work throughout the pandemic, it’s Amazon's workers. The pandemic pushed the company employees to the limits, as millions of packages were delivered during the lockdown and simultaneous holidays. Hours of packaging, delivering, refunding, customer service, and many other tasks completed by Amazon staff call for public recognition. As a reward, the world's largest online retailer will thank the loyal teams by conducting a “Max Your Vax” lottery, offering 18 prizes that include cash, cars, and vacation packages. Now, the bummer - only vaccinated employees are eligible for the exclusive draw.

Potential Vaccine Lottery in Australia | 300$ incentive proposal

It’s almost been half a year since Australians began receiving COVID-19 vaccines but until this day, only 15.5% of the country’s population received both doses. Government officials are displeased with the laughable number and are eager to get the vaccination rate to at least 70%. Since the majority are uninterested, the concerned leaders are debating the possibility of introducing the vaccine lottery. The Prime minister is on board while the Labor leader is pushing for $300.
